Bearsden is a relatively affluent and leafy suburb of Glasgow, located about six miles north east of the city centre. Despite effectively forming part of the Glasgow conurbation, it forms part of East Dunbartonshire local authority.
We are ideally situated for town and country being approximately 20 minutes from the centre of Glasgow and 10 minutes from the start of Loch Lomond National Park.
Our parish includes all the homes within Baljaffray and Bonnaughton which are located to the north of Bearsden. There are approximately 1,450 homes in our parish that are mostly privately owned.
Within our parish and adjacent to our church is a non-denominational Primary School (Baljaffray Primary School) on one side and a small but busy shopping alanrea on the other. We also have a Roman Catholic Primary School within the parish. A new non-denominational Secondary School on the site of the old St Andrew’s College is opening in August 2009 and this will bring the local secondary school within our parish boundary. We have excellent contact with both primary and secondary schools.
We regularly lead worship at a nursing home located in our Parish.
